Credit is required, but permission still matters

Post Your Own Work

• Uploaders should post their own Creations: work they made, built, photographed, wrote, designed, crafted, cooked, arranged, repaired, or otherwise directly created.
• If you are posting for a studio, team, classroom, client, or collaborator, make the relationship clear and only share what you are allowed to share.
• Do not upload external work merely to fill a profile, collect saves, or redirect attention away from the original creator.

Credit Collaborators

• Name collaborators who materially contributed to the Creation when it is practical and safe to do so.
• Credit can include collaborators, photographers, fabricators, performers, editors, instructors, clients, venues, or source contributors when they are part of the story.
• If a collaborator does not want to be named publicly, avoid exposing private identity and describe the collaboration in a privacy-conscious way.

Inspiration Is Different From Copying

Reproductions, Remixes, And Adaptations

• Reproductions, remixes, adaptations, fan work, restorations, lessons, studies, or derivative projects may need permission where legally required.
• When permission is needed, get it before uploading. Keep records of permission in case moderators need context.
• Be clear about what you changed, what you made from scratch, and what came from another person or source.

Attribution Is Not A Free Pass

• External work cannot be uploaded merely because attribution is provided.
• Credit does not replace permission, ownership, platform rules, or respect for a creator's decision not to have their work reposted.
• If HumanBoard receives credible reports or evidence of stolen work, moderators may place the content under review or remove it.
